The playful and elegant Baori Dangler earring design reminds us that inspiration can come from anywhere. Handcrafted with love in sterling silver, the stylish earring is inspired by the ancient Chand Baori step-wells of Rajasthan and is a humble tribute to the genius souls of ancient India.
Baori or Bawli in Sankrit means step-well. This architectural wonder was built around AD 800 and engineered to last for centuries. I am captivated by the subterranean world of passageways and chambers and the strongest image on my mind is the labyrinth of perfectly symmetrical 3500 steps that lead to the cool waters 20 meters below.
